The Association through its Councillors works for and promotes the advancement of brain injured children. It fosters mutual help and co-operation between parents of brain injured children and those entrusted with the care, control and training of such children.
The Council currently consists of nine members. Some of these Councillors are parents of brain injured children who are, or have been, on therapy programmes. The Council's function is to raise funds necessary to maintain the Kara Centre and to administer the funds so as to benefit Association members.
